Lackland AFB is one part of Joint Base San Antonio, which also consists of a civilian airport known as Port San Antonio. Lackland is home to the 737th Training Group, which is responsible for Basic Training for all Air Force enlistees, as well as the 37th Training Wing, 149th Fighter Wing (Texas Air National Guard), 433rd AF Reserve Command, 59th Medical Wing, and the 24th Air Force. Lackland AFB is also the entry processing station for all Air Force enlisted going into Basic Training.
